9-Day Itinerary tips
I flew in and out of Dubrovnik, but you can start from Zagreb or Vienna and flip the itinerary accordingly. Keep your passport handy when crossing borders, and for Bosnia, I highly recommend booking a tour due to long passport controls.
📍Day 1: Arrive in Dubrovnik. Get a bus pass and explore the historic Old Town, also known as Game of Thrones Kings Landing. Enjoy dinner before settling in near the bus station.
📍Day 2: Take a day tour to Montenegro with stops at Kotor, a fortified bay town, Budva, known for its beaches and medieval charm, and Lady of the Rocks, a picturesque island church.
📍Day 3: Travel to Bosnia on a day tour visiting Kravice Waterfalls, PoÄitelj, an old Turkish town, and Mostar, famous for its iconic bridge and great shopping.
📍Day 4: Take an early morning FlixBus to Split, the largest city on the Dalmatian Coast. Walk around Old Town and meet expats at a local bar.
📍Day 5: Take a half-day trip to Krka Waterfalls, visit a charming Italian-style town, and enjoy a winery tour. In the evening, go on a walking tour of Splits Old Town and Diocletians Palace, ending the day with a Michelin-star seafood dinner.
